The film ruth weiss: the beat goddess highlights ruth weiss' electrifying and intimate poetry with breathtaking images of exquisite modern dance, art, animation, and music to embody her oeuvre. This film documents not only weiss' gift to humanity but archives significant historical moments in our world's social and literary movements. This Emmy Award-Winning documentary premiered at the Asolo Art Film Festival in Italy, won Best Documentary at the Peekskill Film Festival in New York, won Visionary Women In Film Award at the Santa Cruz Film Festival, won the Jury Award at the Riverside International Film Festival, and is nominated for Best Documentary at 14 other film festivals nationwide. ruth weiss was awarded the 2020 Maverick Spirit Award from the Cinequest Film Festival.

What did the project entail?

The ruth weiss: the beat goddess contacted us to handle their film outreach campaign. We went ahead and manually researched over 500 organizations and universities - that ensured a higher quality of the leads and a more direct way to get in touch with them via their personally monitored email addresses.

What were the results of our outreach?

We carefully analysed the lists and started our campaign that generated an overall 25% positive response rate - organisations such as Be writing, Scribes Writers Convenor, Writer’s room, American Indian Artistic Inc, Literature across Frontiers, Oxford Brookes University, Writers' Federation of New Brunswick, Writers Group in Western Australia, Girls Write Now, Writers NS CA, The Royal Society of Literature. 

 

63 TV channels such as CETPBS, Ohio, KUAC, Alaska, NCPM California broadcasted the film.
